This policy explains what data is processed when you use flyings.net (the "Website"), why, and how you can control it. By using the Website you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Who processes the data

The data is processed by the Website administration. For any questions about personal data, please use our contact form (topic "Personal data request") or by e-mail at admin@flyings.net.

2. What data we receive

No registration is required to use the Website. We do not ask for your name, phone number or payment details.

• Technical data. With every request our server and content delivery network (Cloudflare) receive your IP address, browser and device type, the page URL, the referring page, date and time. This information is recorded in server logs and used to operate and protect the Website.
• Ratings. When you rate a flight or an airport, we store the rating, an optional comment, an anonymous ID from a cookie and a hash of your IP address (the IP address itself is not stored). The hash is used to prevent rating manipulation.
• Flight status and board requests. To prevent abuse we store a hash of your IP address and the number of requests per day. These records are deleted after 2 days.
• Contact form messages: your name (optional), e-mail, topic and message, a hash of your IP address, your browser and referring page. We need this to reply to you and to protect the form from spam.
• Site search queries are stored without IP addresses and used to improve search.

3. Cookies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. The Website uses:

4. Analytics

To understand which sections are useful, we use Google Analytics (Google LLC) and the LiveInternet counter. These services receive technical data about your visit and process it under their own policies, see the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on.

5. Advertising

The Website shows ads from Google AdSense and other ad networks.

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

6. Affiliate links and third-party services

Flight ticket search runs on our partner website avia.flyings.guru (Travelpayouts / Aviasales). Search and price widgets are loaded from the partner's servers, and clicks to tickets carry our affiliate ID. Any data you enter on the partner's website is processed under its own policy. Maps are loaded from OpenStreetMap and ADSB.lol, airline logos from Aviasales servers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

7. Purposes and legal bases

• operating the Website and protecting it from attacks, abuse and spam — our legitimate interest;
• traffic statistics and service improvement — legitimate interest, or consent where required by the law of your country;
• advertising — consent, which you can give or withdraw in the cookie notice (where shown in your region) or in Google Ads Settings;
• replying to your message — your consent given when you submit the form.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by providers that help us run the Website (hosting, Cloudflare, and the analytics and advertising services listed above), whose servers may be located outside your country. We may also disclose data if required by law.

9. Retention

• server logs — no longer than needed for operation and security (usually up to 30 days);
• IP hashes for request limits — 2 days;
• ratings — while the related page exists or until you ask us to delete them;
• contact form messages — up to 3 years or until you ask us to delete them.

10. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict processing or withdraw your consent. If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or another country with similar laws, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact us and tell us what you did on the Website (for example, the e-mail you used in the contact form) so that we can find your data.

11. Children

The Website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The new version takes effect when it is published on this page; the date of the latest revision is shown below.
