It is almost next to impossible for stowaways to survive the flight. Even if they do, there are severe consequences because of hypothermia and oxygen starvation.
There is a story of one of such stowaways who managed somehow to survive the flight. It was operated by British Airways from Delhi to London. And he fulfilled his dream and stayed in Britain where he now works as a driver at Heathrow.
In 1996 Parddep Saini miraculously got through a ten-hour flight. But he was not alone. He was together with his a eighteen year old brother. But his brother died of hypothermia. Moreover, during the arrival his body fell from the landing gear.
Doctors claim that he was lucky to survive -60 C temperatures and oxygen starvation. It was due to his body condition of suspended animation.
Soon after landing, luggage handlers discovered him in the condition of hypothermia.
Pardeep, now a 44 year old man, recollected his story after the recent incident with the stowaway falling form Kenya Airways when the plane was about to land at the airport. But he remembers almost nothing as he was unconscious because of oxygen starvation.
He was going to be departed but he managed to win the legal case in 2014 and was permitted to stay in the country. He used to be a car mechanic in his country and now he works as driver at Heathrow.
