Southwest Airlines flight experienced hydraulic issue after landing

The flight operated by Southwest Airlines had to be evacuated. The incident took place on Monday at Midway International Airport. According to the airline report the flight had some technical issues. To be more precise, it faced a hydraulic issue just after its landing. Moreover, it turned out that the aircraft had its blown tyres on the set of landing gear.

The flight 4448 serviced by Southwest made a landing at Midway at approximately 8.20 a.m. It was flying from Austin. Having landed and turned off the runway the aircraft stopped close to the terminal as a result of the hydraulic problem. And it was obvious that the tyres of at least one set of landing gear were flat due to being blown.

The flight was carrying 137 passengers and five crew members. They disembarked via airstairs as it is reported by the airline. The buses were ready to take them to the terminal. The plane is going to be thoroughly checked that is why it is out of service right now.

According to the airline’s email the passengers’ safety is their top priority. So, this aircraft is out of service to be thoroughly maintained. Besides, their airport employees will assist the connection passengers who experienced troubles due to the technical issue.

There were no injures but still the Chicago Fire Department brought ambulances to the spot as a precaution measure.
