No hidden charges with Malaysian

Starting from June, 1 passengers will not face extra or hidden charges for flight tickets. According to the new regulations, airlines will have to show the total price as it is with taxes and fees.

It will be applied as a revision of the Malaysian Aviation Consumer Protection Code from 2016. Consequently, the price in commercials and other fields of promotion and sale is to be shown with all extra charges. For instance, it must include tax and fees. Such an action will restrict hidden card payment and administrative charges.

The new regulations imply the refund on flight tickets if a passenger is not able to fly due to certain circumstances. It is possible during a 30-day request. It refers to the tickets bought via travel agents as well. The refund is to have service charges.
