Fun with the Southwest Airlines’ gate agent during the delay

A delayed flight is the very thing that makes travelling experience really frustrating.

That is the very firm belief which Kristen Dundas from Florida used to share. But now after her Southwest Airlines flight delay on Thursday she has an opposing view point. She did enjoy it unexpectedly.

The flight was flying from Orlando to Washington. The flight experienced a two-hour delay. And the passengers were beginning to see red. But the gate agent stepped in and broke the ice. He started entertaining those who were standing in a queue. And thanks to his creativity Kristan Dundas was ready to wait the whole night.

The gate agent held a variety of contests. For instance, there was the one for the worst driver’s license picture. Moreover, there was a paper airline contest. As a bonus the winners got 25 dollar vouchers by Southwest Airlines.
And there was a response to Dindas’ tweet from Southwest Airlines rep. The company was glad that the gate agent managed to make the situation a little bit bearable.

Even those passengers who did not take part in the contest call them really fantastic. And Kristen was among them. In the beginning she was really frustrated as she was going to have a quick weekend trip to Washington to call on her friends. But eventually as the gate agent began playing games everything seemed just fine. She was enjoying herself and did not mind the flight delay.

It was a three hour delay. But when the flight departed the gate agents were cheered on by the passengers.
A Southwest Airlines rep has said that it is their company’s policy to encourage their employees to have fun with passengers. “
