Fire alarm caused chaos at Luton Airport

Passengers had to leave Luton Airport due to fire alarm. As a result, lots of delays were caused.

Travellers were evacuated from the crowded airport as soon as the fire alarm announcement was made. They had to head for the exit and stay outside waiting for further directions.

So, there were hour’s delays because of fire alarm. The passenger pressed it accidently. It happened approximately at 7.15 a.m.

Some passengers complained that their planes took off without them onboard. For instance, this very thing happened with flight to Morocco operated by Ryanair.

A passengers expressed his anger on Twitter. He says that their Ryanair flight to Marrakesh took off leaving its 110 passengers and language at Luton Airport.

But the airline company claims it to be not true though there was a two-hour delay. And after a delay the passengers got on the plan and the flight took off to Marrakesh.

A flight to Amsterdam by Vueling was delayed as well as flights to Barcelona and Berlin by EasyJet. While WizzAir customers flying to Warsaw and Larnaca faced an hour delay.

A Luton Airport representative gave a comment:

“When a fire alarm was pressed accidently, passengers had to leave the airport. In twenty minutes they were able to return. We express our apologies and do thank travellers for understanding.”
