Emirates flight hit severe turbulence leading to injuries

The passengers flying from Auckland to Dubai by Emirates suffered injuries due to the consequences of severe turbulence.

According to the reports of the passengers there were food trolleys upside down, broken bottles of drinks and broken fragments everywhere over the aircraft.

A passenger who was onboard with her daughter says that the turbulence led her child to vomiting. And to her what they had to go through was a really frightening experience. Moreover, she says that they were fortunate to fly by business class. Because the consequences at the back were much stronger.

Some passengers were severely bruised. Due to turbulence, a passenger, Beverly Glover, had bruises on both legs. Having been in the lounge bar before the incident she and her partner managed return back to their seats. Otherwise they would have suffered much stronger.

Having taken off from Auckland International Airport flight EK449 hit unforeseen and severe turbulence on its way. It happened three hours earlier its scheduled arrival in Dubai.

On the arrival the passengers and cabin crew who needed medical assistance received it. In general, the passengers and crew had minor injuries.
