Biofuel Delivery Flights Offered by Boeing

A 787-9 Boeing Dreamliner connecting Seattle and Cairo has flown its destination completely on biofuel. So far, it has been the longest flight fuelled by biofuel. It was a 10,973-kilometer delivery flight for EgyptAir.

There is an offer from Boeing of 787 biofuel delivery flights. So, EgyptAir is the first to operate such a flight.

According to Boeing’s claim 787 aircraft are specially designed to be fuel efficient. Due to the introduction of 787 aircraft in 2011 37 million pounds of fuel has not been wasted. And furthermore, it is expected that it will lessen the amount of environmental influence.

EgyptAir got its first 787-9 in March 2019. Now, its fleet includes five ones. The airline company stands for the protection of the environment. Thus, Dreamliner provides such an opportunity for the company.

The fuel used by EgyptAir was produced in California. It is produced from agricultural byproducts. They are suitable for being mixed with ordinary jet fuel. Moreover, it fits any model of the plane or its engine.

More and more airline companies are joining campaigns for reducing emission levels. As the matter in question is critical for the environment. They have agreed to do their best to reduce carbon emissions significantly by 2050.

EgyptAir is among these airlines. Moreover, they are not just setting a long term environmental target but have already started implementing it. Their fleet of Dreamliners is a proof.
