A passenger on the flight operated by American Airlines was behaving unruly. The flight was flying from Arizona to Minnesota. Due to the incident it had to make an emergency landing. It has been reported that the passenger in question told the rest passengers that he was under the influence of cocaine and moreover he locked himself in the plane toilet and afterwards he lit up marijuana onboard.
The flight had been about an hour in the air when the captain informed that the flight would be diverted due to a security issue. It made a turn to Denver. The cabin crew members tried to deal with the situation on board and to get the passenger from the toilet where he locked himself for ten minutes.
But when the aircraft was on the point of making a landing he went out of the plane bathroom and returned to his seat. He behaved nervously.
The plane landed safely. The flight attendants together with police tried to confront the passenger. And perhaps that was the very moment when he decided to smoke weed.
The pilot of the plane warned the passengers of the first rows to leave the plane. The measures were taken for police officers to be able to handcuff him. But he managed to punch the passengers who were trying to leave the plane. In the end, he was handcuffed.
The plane headed to its destination with a two-hour delay.
The American Airlines representative confirmed the incident pointing out that the cabin crew managed to deal with the situation and acted in the interests of the passengers’ safety.
