Air Canada asked two stangers to share a hotel due to a missed flight

Some travellers have to go through a bad experience of missing their connecting flights. Even more, they have to spend a night in a completely strange place for them. That is what they try to steer clear of it.

But it seems that such a situation itself is stressful and nothing else can make it worse. But no, an airline company may ask two completely strange people stay at the same room with a single bad.

That is the very thing that happened to the 71-year-old passenger after she had missed she flight on July, 19.

The Air CanadaA representative confirmed the incident but point that it was due to misunderstanding. And it is not their police to provide travellers with accommodation which they have to share when they are not travelling together.

Elizabeth Coffi Tabu, the passenger in question, had been staying at her daughter’s house for a month. Then she decided to come back to Paris. The flight had a connection in Montreal. Flight delay of the first flight led her to missing a connecting flight. Moreover, she was in a wheelchair after cancer treatment which made it impossible for her to catch a connecting flight after the delay.

So, she and another traveller rebooked their flight to fly the next day. That is why Air Canada provided them with the accommodation at the nearby hotel. But the thing was that they had only one room ailable.

Having informed the Air Canada worker about the incident she got two $10 food vouchers and an availability to choose a seat with extra leg space.
