There are new destinations on the route map of the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. So, it is about to launch a new direct flight to Las Vegas.
The representative of the airport announces that there will flights four times a week. This round trip service will be operated by Countour Airlines. The starting point is October, 17. Thus, its passengers will be able to find a way to the city of gambling and entertainment.
As for first tickets to this destination they will be sold for $99. It is a one-way deal.
Consequently, with the introduction of new destination passengers have a chance to use direct flights to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle. Airline companies are eagerly joining the rest ones in their desire to operate destinations from San Luis Obispo. Another new company is due to join in 24 months.
The analysis of the economic influence of the company in the region was released in May. It is reported that the airport invested $85 million into San Luis Obispo County and 871 workplaces became available in the region.
According to the report the airport pays $14.3 million in taxes. Half of these taxes or even more is in the hands of the local government. And the airport as an individual employer would be the 15th biggest in the region.
