The flight operated by British Airways had to make an emergency landing in Valencia. It has been reported that the incident happened due to the smoke which filled the whole cabin.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon. The plane was heading from Heathrow Airport to Valencia.
The passengers of the flight in question were evacuated via the evacuation slide. The procedure took place at the runway of the airport of Spain. The passengers complained about not being provided with water, food, first aid etc. Moreover, there was no representative from British Airways. That is why the passengers were unaware of what was going on.
According to the passengers’ reports and video the plane had been in the air for 10 minutes with the cabin filled with smoke. Besides, there was some failure in the oxygen masks release.
Lucy Brown, one of the passengers who was flying with her children says that they are happy that no one was injured. But she believes if the incident had happened half an hour earlier the circumstances might have been absolutely different. The smell in the plane was unbearable and made the passengers be out of breath.
As for British Airways they refuse to give any comments so far. They know about the incident which took place with one of their planes in Valencia. But they cannot provide any information until they conduct some investigation to know all the details of the emergency situation. As soon as they have any details they will release a statement.
