The passenger of the flight operated by Swoop airlines complains about being refused to give him water free of charge. The incident took place during a five-hour flight. But instead, a cup of ice was provided.
Wayne Fernandes, the passenger in question, was flying from Hamilton to Las Vegas when he asked the flight attendant for some water. It turned out that it was necessary to pay for it.
He was not going to pay for water as he is inclined to believe that it is not the thing to pay for. So, he asked for a cup of ice in order to wait for it to melt.
As a matter of fact, the passenger is aware how low-cost companies work and where they get their income from. And it is justified when a traveller has to pay, for instance, for food and luggage. Though water is believed to be some kind of essential thing like toilet paper. It is vital. That is why it should be free of charge.
According to Swoop comments they offer unbundled products and services and it’s up to a traveller to choose what to buy and what to spend their money on. Snacks, drinks are among them and a passenger has to pay for them.
Bottled water is available for buying. But they encourage travellers to take their own empty water bottles and fill them in as soon as they are through security. So, they are fully in control of their expenses.
