The video shows the flight attendant threatening to make Mexican passengers’ process of going through customs challenging for them. The conflict took place at some U.S. airport after their flight from Mexico. It is still unclear which one exactly.
It is believed that the exchange happened shortly after the flight. It might have been the result of the conflict during the flight. As far as it is known, the cameraperson’s mother felt ill during the flight. Perhaps, it made the crew member irritated.
The video lasts six seconds. A man saying you were very rude to us can be heard there. And a reply from the crew follows threatening to make it difficult to go through customs. There are other accusations of rude and poor treatment.
According to the passenger’s statement mother felt ill because of the flight. They had to ask the crew to dispose of her throw-up. But the response was rude. The passenger’s family in question had no intention of arguing. Still the flight attendant kept insulting them and promising to arrange difficult custom proceedings.
On arrival the flight attendant asked the employee to stop them at customs. But the customs employee seeing they were treated unfairly suggested bringing a supervisor to report on the crew.
According to the American Airlines statement they consider the matter to be really serious. They are going to look into it thoroughly. They are doing their best to understand what happened.
