A doctor from Texas received apologies from American Airlines for being removed from the aircraft for some time. The problem was with her wearing a romper.
Dr. Tisha Rowe was about to start her journey flying Miami bound flight from Kingston, Jamaica, on its way to Houston when a stewardess did not allow her to board. The flight attendant advised her to cover up first.
The passenger was with an 8-year-old child. She was told to leave the plane until she covered herself up. At first, the traveller tried to convice the cabin crew to be in the wrong. But she failed so she took a blanket and covered herself up with it.
Having done it she was able to precede her boarding. Feeling really humiliated and embarrassed she did not look up at anyone during the whole flight.
According to American Airlines regulations passengers are required to dress appropriately, offensive clothes are prohibited.
She believes it to be a matter of discrimination as other passengers in not quite appropriate clothes were not said a word. And the insulted passenger added that a white woman in the same outfit as hers would definitely have no problems.
Having found out of the incident American Airlines expressed apologies on Tuesday. Moreover, they have made up for their trip. The company with proud serves to passengers of all backgrounds and are eager to do everything for ensuring positive and safe experience for their passengers.
The passenger wants the company to train their employees better. Furthermore, she and her lawyer are working out what other steps to take.
