Flights operated by Ryanair heading to attractive holiday resorts in Spain are not to allow its passengers to take alcohol with them in their carry on baggage. It has to apply to certain hubs. Moreover, alcohol drinks from duty free stores are to be banned as well.
The reason for it is that Ryanair flights to these attractive holiday spots are “famous” for Brits’ inappropriate behaviour on board. The consequences of such behaviour cause a lot of troubles. So, the company in question tries to solve this issue by strict rules.
British travellers taking off from the airports of Glasgow Prestwick and Manchester to holiday resorts of Spain are banned to take alcohol with them from duty free. According to new rules, it should be left in the hold.
Ryanair has notified its customers about new regulations. These new restrictions concern every traveller heading to Ibiza, Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga, Palma and Tenerife South.
On the baggage a tag must be put at the gate. And it must be left in the hold. On condition that passengers have a priority boarding or if they have small hand luggage, it is free of charge. In case a passenger has no priority boarding, he/she will be charged with extra fees. Travellers are prohibited to take alcohol in plastic with them.
To see if the rules are obeyed hand luggage is to be checked at the gate. All the restrictions are implemented in the interests of passengers’ comfort and safety.
