Passengers stuck at South Florida airports

Bad weather in Atlanta causes chaos in airports. As a result, most of South Florida airports have hundreds of passengers not being able to take their flights. About 13 flights operating Atlanta destination have been delayed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Some passengers have three hour delays. The airlines which cannot operate properly due to nasty weather are Delta, AeroMexico and Korean Air. Whereas Southwest Airlines and others had to cancel their flights heading for Atlanta at 10.20. They are cancelled till noon.

Gregory Meyer, Broward County Aviation Department spokesman says

“lots of flights are under the influence of bad weather conditions in FortLauderdale and there are hour delayed departures from Atlanta.”

So they face a great deal of issues to cope with.

The consequences of thunderstorm are the closing of a ramp at FLL and a diverted Delta flight arriving to Miami International Airport.
Weather conditions influence 9 flights with New York destination operated by such airlines as Delta, Virgin Atlantic and Air France.
So people at the airports have time to kill. Some of they are really angry and want the situation to be solved as soon as possible. The others have found how to entertain themselves.

But all the inconveniences are justified. Airlines just do everything in the interests of their passengers’ safety. It is their top priority.
