3D cinema in the sky by British Airways

If you have nothing to do onboard but count seconds during your long-hour flight? So, British Airways is ready to come to rescue. They are launching a new way of entertainment.

Having cooperated with SkyLights British Airways has something new to suggest its customers. They are going to entertain their passengers with 3D cinema in the sky. So, they are piloting a virtual reality headset.

From the very moment and up to the end of 2019 passengers flying by selected flights in the first class from London Heathrow Airport to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport will have an opportunity to entertain themselves with selected award winning films, programmes while travelling and so on. They will be available in 2D, 3D or 360-degree formats.

The headsets by Allosky from vertical reality SkyLights let people completely experience themselves in 3D view. Moreover, it makes no difference which seat a person occupies.

British Airways claims itself to be the first British carrier to pilot the technology in question. Furthermore, it offers a wide range of therapeutic shows. There are the ones for meditation, sound therapy which were specially created for those customers who suffer from fear of flying.

But British Airways was not the first carrier to entertain its customers with virtual reality. For instance, Qantas provided its customers with it to try via Samsung headsets a few years ago. In 2018 Lufthansa implemented the use of vertical reality Moving Map. In such a way passengers are able to take the same excursions on the ground.
