He spilt coffee in the cockpit. The plane landed in Ireland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to the hot liquid the audio control system was out of order. Moreover, there was a burning smell and smoke coming out of it. As a result, there was a considerable problem of communication between the pilots. They were flying Airbus A330. It was flying from Frankfurt, Germany to Cancun, Mexico. It was diverted to <a href=\"https:\/\/flyings.net\/airport\/SNN\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Shannon airport<\/a>. It had 326 passengers and 11 members of crew onboard. No one was hurt due to the damaged system.<\/p>\n<p>In general, when a captain has to divert a plane it may cost the airline companies between \u00a310,000 and \u00a380,000. The expenses depend on the type, size of a plane and airport of diversion.<\/p>\n<p>It has been reported the pilot left his cup of coffee on a tray table. But the table is not steady and everything can be in no time knocked over. Though according to Airbus recommendations it is advisable for pilots to use cup holders. They are provided with them.<br \/>\nIt is claimed that pilots do not feel like using the holders as the cups provided by Condor are smaller. Condor reassures that there are cup lids on all the palnes so they kindly remind pilots to use them.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with airline company\u2019s reports the plane has been thoroughly checked and fixed by the engineers and then it continued its journey to its destination.
