Due to a drone flying close to Leeds Bradford<\/a> at least one flight had to land at Manchester Airport<\/a>. And the other flights on the runway were grounded.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because of the circumstances the airport in question had to be closed. The total time when the airport did not operate was approximately 45 minutes on July, 12.<\/p>\n

According to reports of the inbound flight there was a drone at 12.55 p.m. within easy reach to Leeds Bradford Airport.<\/p>\n

So, airport employees had to act promptly. They took the appropriate measures which are required in such situations. As a result, the airport was closed and it led to the flight landing at Manchester Airport.<\/p>\n

Now the airport is operating as normal again. West Yorkshire police is investigating the case.<\/p>\n

Some other airports experienced the same in the past, for instance, Heathrow <\/a>and Gatwick<\/a>. And even army armed with anti-drone devices came to the scene. The airports financially support the inventions of technology of combatting drones.<\/p>\n

Drones are prohibited in airspace within a three-mile zone because of a possibility of collision with an aircraft. There is a fine or even imprisonment for breaking the law.<\/p>\n
