Following the measures taken by EasyJet<\/a>, a low-cost carrier, Flybe<\/a> is not going to serve nuts or products including nuts during its flights. The reason for it is that the company wants to avoid passengers\u2019 allergic reactions onboard.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Flybe, Uk regional airline company, considers passengers\u2019 safety to be of top priority. Therefore, the problem of nut allergy is a serious thing which requires a lot of precautions. Some of them have already been done.<\/p>\n

And as a further step the company is removing all the nuts from its Caf\u00e9 Flybe menu. And products containing nuts will no longer be available on the menu as well. Everything is done in order not to put a passenger\u2019s life at risk.<\/p>\n

Traditional snack onboard used to have salted nuts and soft drinks. But now there is a new standard requiring nut-free snacks.<\/p>\n

According to the researches, each year the number of people suffering from food allergies is increasing. As a result, United Kingdom is going to bring out a law this week. In terms of this law, food producers are to label their products properly in case they contain nuts or their traces.<\/p>\n

This law is called Natasha\u2019s one. It was named after Natasha Ednan-Laperouse who died at the age of fifteen. Having eaten a baguette before boarding her plane at London Heathrow Airport<\/a> she collapsed and died. The baguette was not properly labeled for containing nuts which led to such a severe allergic reaction.<\/p>\n

That is why, more and more airline companies are joining the rest in the idea of removing nuts from their menus. So, Southwest Airlines<\/a> took these measures in July, 2018. Then EasyJet did the same in April.<\/p>\n
