Virgin Atlantic is the airline intending to provide the route from Heathrow<\/a> to Mumbai<\/a>. As the flights were grounded by Jet Airway, an Indian company.The airline is question stopped operating all its flights on April, 11. But it has not announced bankruptcy officially. <\/em><\/p>\n

Jet Airways<\/a> was founded by Sir Richard Branson. And it was the first to fly to Mumbai, biggest Indian city, in 2005. But it failed to cope with a competitive market. The flight connection between Heathrow and Mumbai was re-launched in 2012. In three years it stopped when the airway company joined a deal of putting passengers on Jet Airways\u2019 two times on a daily basis service on the destination.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of winter schedule, on October, 27 2019, a daily service operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be launched to serve the route between Heathrow and Delhi.<\/p>\n

Juha Jarvinen, a Virgin Atlantic<\/a> executive vice-president commercial says as Jet Airways is unfortunately off the market now they are able to meet the demand of the customers by providing different options. They are operating routes not only to the market of India but in partnership with Delta have a wide range of route offers connecting the US via Heathrow. <\/p>\n

The departure time is from 10.15a.m. from Heathrow<\/strong>, with approximately 10-hour flight duration and arrival scheduled at 12.40 a.m. next day.<\/p>\n

The departure time from Mumbai is 2.55 a.m.<\/strong> Though it is rather inconvenient but arrival is due at Heathrow at 7.35 a.m. While it is quite good timing for customers travelling on business in the direction of London as well as for customers transferring to transatlantic flights. <\/p>\n

In June, British Airways<\/a> is going to take advantage of Jet Airways bankruptcy providing an additional flight to Mumbai.<\/p>\n

Rumour has it that Jet Airways might be of certain interest for the billionaire brothers, Gopichand and Srichand Hinduja despite its \u00a31bn debt. <\/p>\n
