British Airways has been subject to criticism for its new \u201cafternoon tea\u201d offer which is a part of the airline\u2019s 5-pound menu served onboard. It includes a scone, jam and cream but no tea. Tea is an option available for ordering separately with \u00a32.50 extra.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The passengers were dissatisfied to see no trace of tea in their menu considering information advertised in the inflight magazine to be misleading. As passengers claim it to be false advertising believing it to be right to expect tea with their afternoon tea menu. <\/p>\n

Passengers took to social networks to express their disappointment saying it is way too much to pay \u00a35 for just a scone and extra for tea. <\/p>\n

Brits took it way too personally believing that it is a must for afternoon tea to go with tea comparing it with the situation if an American bought a burger without a roll and had to pay extra money for it. <\/p>\n

British Airways<\/a> released a statement claiming to have a wide variety of drinks to satisfy the tastes even of the most demanding clients starting from a cup of tea up to espresso martini or champagne and it\u2019s up to their clients to decide what to choose to have their afternoon tea with. <\/p>\n
